Orville D. Gaither,
Chairman of the Board & C.E.O.

In his fifth decade in the oil production industry, Orville Gaither brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the corporation. Since 1948, his career has taken him around the globe from North America to Russia, Egypt, Venezuela, Argentina and the North Sea, and many places in between. In 1979 he became President of Amoco Production Company's North African and Middle Eastern Region, a position he held until retiring in 1991. Orville has been a President of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Houston Petroleum Club and a board member of several prestigious petroleum service corporations. His combined domestic and international experience and first hand familiarity with oil field production offers the kind of leadership necessary for success.

O. Duane Gaither II, President & C.O.O.

"Duane" Gaither has been a member of the petroleum industry almost from birth, moving around the world wherever his father's career took the family. After Duane graduated Texas A&M University in 1980, he began his career at Amoco, working in their Salt Domes Operations, Productions Operations and Michigan Reserves Development Groups. In 1985 he formed Petroleum Resources of Texas Inc. providing contract drilling and production expertise to independent oil operators. When that company evolved into Gaither Petroleum Corporation in 1991, Duane joined as Vice-President, and became President in 1997. Duane adheres to a "hands-on" work philosophy and participates in all aspects of the corporation, including finance, exploration and production. He is an active member of the Society of petroleum Engineers.

William J. Johnson, Director

After graduation from Mississippi State University with a degree in Petroleum Geology, Bill Johnson embarked on a long and distinguished petroleum industry career. In 1956 he joined Exxon/USA Humble Oil & Refining Co. and remained with the company in a variety of positions including Chief Geologist, Exploration Manager and Manager of Corporate Planning until 1980. Bill's impressive resume includes positions as President/CEO/Director of Anglo Energy, Ltd., Vice President in Standard Oil, President at BP Exploration, President/CEO/Director TEX/CON Oil & Gas Company and President/COO/Director Apache Corporation.  Bill currently serves on the boards of Devon Energy and several other public companies as well as the Gaither Petroleum Corporation.

David S. "Scotty" Holland, Director

"Scotty" Holland brings a high level of oil field expertise and experience to Gaither Petroleum Corporation. After beginning his career with Marathon Oil from 1957 to 1966, Scotty spent three and a half decades with Pennzoil in a variety of countries and positions. Scotty's experience includes exploration, production and management both offshore and on land. He has been the President, Director, and in some cases, Chairman of seventeen different Pennzoil foreign

subsidiary companies. Scotty is affiliated with several industry organizations including the American Association of Geologists, American Petroleum Institute, American Tunisian Association, Petroleum Club of Houston and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists.

Douglas W. Gaither, Director

Doug graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering in 1985 from Texas Tech University and a Masters in Geology from the University of South Carolina in 1987. He has studied in detail the geologic setting of North Africa, the Middle East, and specifically the North Sinai Peninsula in Egypt. He has worked for Marathon Oil and Amoco Production Company, and he joined Petroleum Resources of Texas, Inc. in 1987. Douglas Gaither is responsible for developing and implementing the company's exploration program as well as all aspects of drilling, workover, and production operations for the company. He is also responsible for reserve assessment on the company's properties and is a key member of the Acquisition Evaluation Team. Douglas is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Frank Ken Schuepbach, Chief Financial Officer

 

Ken has nearly 30 years experience in the oil and gas industry, 25 of which was spent with ConocoPhillips. During his ConocoPhillips tenure, Ken was responsible at various times for the financial matters of upstream operations in the U. S. lower 48, China, Canada, West Africa and North Africa, headed the commodity derivative financial services for North America, and advised the Company’s strategic planners on
